Have a ticket and don’t plan on attending? Drop your ticket off at the registration desk for someone else to attend!

In-Person registration for CWRA 2022 is once again SOLD-OUT.

Please note that registration for Tours and Workshops is still open. Please email CWRA2022@cwra.org to access virtual registration.

Registration is open for CWRA 2022 – Earlybird Deadline May 6th.

Please note that we have temporarily closed registration for the full conference to ensure that accepted speakers have space to register once the full program has been posted online. We expect that the full program will be posted by early next week.  Please continue to refer back to this website for more updates, as it will be posted here first.

Single-day registrations, virtual registrations, and registration for tours and workshops will remain open during this time.

Once the full program is available and accepted speakers have been notified, we will reopen registration for the full conference.  We have been excited for the response, and we appreciate your patience while our team finishes the details of the packed program for CWRA2022.

You may register to attend the conference, as well as for Tours, Workshops, or some Virtual Gallery events on our registration site. We have many options on our registration form, including conference registration, tour, workshop, and Virtual Art Gallery sign-ups. Please consult the preliminary program if you have questions about timing. It will be updated as more events are confirmed for the conference, and a detailed program will be posted once the Conference Program is finalized. Please read the item descriptions below carefully to ensure you are purchasing the item you’ve intended to purchase. You may purchase additional items at a later date, as more workshops and tour events are added.

CWRA is partnering with the Government of Canada to support the participation of Indigenous participants.

  •         I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  •         I will wear a mask during all conference activities, except while eating or drinking.
  •         I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to it while  attending the conference.

 General Notifications

By purchasing an In-Person event item for the CWRA 2022 National Conference, you are agreeing to the COVID-19 Registration Agreement and the following Policies:

  • In the event of a National or Province-wide shut down, the conference will either be canceled, postponed, or moved to a virtual setting as decided by the conference organizing committee at that time. We are committed to working with conference sponsors and exhibitors for partial or full refunds should plans for holding an in-person event change.
  • Attendees should expect that there may be last minute program cancellations due to health concerns or travel restrictions. Attendees are encouraged to use these opportunities to visit our in-person exhibitors and/or posters during such times.
  • Please ensure that the address you enter during payment matches the one used on the credit card.
  • If you are a CWRA member, your organization will appear as it is on your membership profile.  You will not be able to change it on the registration form. Please update your profile if you have changed organizations, or email us at CWRA2022@cwra.org if you need a different organization printed on your name tag, and we will try to accommodate your request.
  • CWRA will be taking photos at the conference that may be used to share summaries or news about this event on social media, in newsletters, on our website, or printed material or articles and reports describing the event. Attendance at the event is considered acknowledgement of this potential for being photographed and consent to the stated uses. If you do not wish to be photographed, there will be a contact listed at the event for you to get in touch with.
  • All CWRA2022 virtual and in-person attendees will receive free admission to the 75th Anniversary Conference Webinar series, which will be held virtually in Fall 2022. This series will feature selected presenters who had to cancel their travel plans for the CWRA2022 in-person conference, as well as additional speakers chosen by the conference organizers to round out the program. A schedule for these webinars will be announced and advertised by the AB Branch and National following the conference.

1) Registered attendees will be fully refunded (less any CWRA membership fees) and 10% processing fee if they can no longer attend up to 1 week in advance of the conference (By May 30, 2022). Please email CWRA2022@cwra.org to cancel your registration.

2) If registered attendees are not able to attend due to illness or company-imposed health restrictions, and are able to provide documentation, their registration fee will be fully refunded (less any CWRA membership fees) up to 1 week in advance of the conference (by May 30, 2022). Please email CWRA2022@cwra.org to cancel your registration with your documentation is included, or questions about what documentation you could provide.

3) No refunds will be issued 1 week or less prior to the in-person meeting (after May 30, 2022).

4) Selected presenters who register for the conference and have to cancel at a later date will be offered a speaking slot in a Fall 2022 75th Anniversary Conference Webinar, to be coordinated by the AB Branch and National. These webinars will be free to all CWRA2022 conference attendees, both virtual and in-person. The final format of the webinar talks has not yet been determined.

Virtual Attendance Option

The CWRA2022 conference will be an in-person event. We recognize the uncertainty of these times, and that travel restrictions by employers and companies remain in place for some. We will therefore be offering a limited amount of content in virtual format at a reduced registration rate as follows:

  • Plenaries will be live streamed, with moderated question and answer sessions that will include a chance for both in-person and virtual attendees to ask questions.
  •  If presenter permission is obtained, plenary sessions will also be recorded (subject to permission by presenters) and made available for virtual and in-person CWRA2022 conference attendees following the meeting (July 2022).
  • Any sessions scheduled in the plenary room (subject to permission by presenters) will also be recorded and made available post-conference to virtual and in-person CWRA2022 attendees.
