Registration for CWRA 2024 National Conference will open soon!   To help you plan for your upcoming trip we are pleased to provide you with the following information on registration fees:

REGISTRATION ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

Full Conference (Member)

The full conference rates for members include:

  • Three (3) days of the CWRA National Conference (June 17th-19th)
  • Includes breakfast and lunch on each day
  • Opening Night Icebreaker and Networking (June 16th)
  • One (1) Banquet ticket (evening of June 18th)
  • You may purchase an additional banquet ticket if another person is attending the banquet with you. A limited number of additional banquet tickets will be available.
  • You do not need a ticket to attend the SYP event (June 17th), but we are interested in getting an approximate attendance number to help plan the event.
  • Please note the Registration Conditions described on the conference website. Purchase of a ticket to the conference is deemed acceptance of these conditions.

Full Conference (Non-Member)

The full conference rate for non-members includes:

  • Three (3) days of the CWRA National Conference (June 17th-19th)
    Includes breakfast and lunch on each day
  • Opening Night Icebreaker and Networking (June 16th)
  • One (1) Banquet ticket (evening of June 18th)
  • A yearlong membership in CWRA. This membership will be set up by CWRA staff before the conference begins. You will be emailed with details about your membership, and setting up your member profile, at the contact email you include.
  • Notes:
    • Students must register as CWRA members before registering for the conference. Student Membership in CWRA and its affiliates is now free.
    • Students are defined as anyone enrolled part-time in a hydrological engineering, science, or hydrology-related post-secondary program or in full-time post-secondary studies in any discipline. CWRA will also allow the student member status for anyone applying for it within three months of completing one of these programs.
    • An individual is eligible for Young Professional status for up to three years after graduation from a recognized post secondary institution. An affiliate membership in CANCID, NASH, and/or CSHS can be added to CWRA registration in the checkout process.
  • If you prefer to begin your CWRA membership immediately, you can register for membership on the CWRA website before registering for the conference. You will then be eligible to register for the conference at the member rate.
  • You may purchase an additional banquet ticket if another person is attending the banquet with you. A limited number of additional banquet tickets will be available.
  • You do not need a ticket to attend the SYP event (June 17th), but we are interested in getting an approximate attendance number to help plan the event.

Single Day (Members and Non-Members):

Single Day rates include:

  • One (1) day of the CWRA National Conference. You will be asked to indicate which day you will be attending.
  • Breakfast and lunch provided on the day of attendance
  • Banquet ticket on June 18th is NOT included in the single day pricing.  If you would like to attend the banquet you may purchase a banquet ticket separately.
  • You may purchase an additional banquet ticket if another person is attending the banquet with you. A limited number of additional banquet tickets will be available.
  • Please note the Registration Conditions described on this page. Purchase of a ticket to the conference is deemed acceptance of these conditions.

Banquet Ticket

  • One (1) banquet ticket is included in the CWRA Full Conference registrations.
  • No banquet tickets are included in single-day registrations.

Tours

  • Details on the tours are available now.
  • Tours may be cancelled if registration is low by June 3. Registrants will be informed prior to the conference if the tour is confirmed, and any registration fees refunded in full if the tour is cancelled by the conference organizers.

Workshops

  • Details of the workshops are available now.
  • Workshops will be cancelled if registration is lower than necessary to meet costs by by June 3. Any registration fees will be refunded in full if the workshop is cancelled by the conference organizers.

POLICIES

There are many options on our registration form. When you are ready to register, please read the following registration, refund, and cancellation policies, and review the item descriptions below carefully to ensure you are purchasing the item you’ve intended to purchase. You may purchase additional items at a later date, as more workshops and tour events are added.

By purchasing an event item for the CWRA 2024 Saskatoon National Conference, you are agreeing to the following Policies:

  • CWRA will follow all public health directions that may apply to the conference. Attendees acknowledge the contagious nature of viruses, including COVID-19, and voluntarily assume the risk of exposure while attending the conference.
    • In the event of a National or Province-wide shutdown, the conference will either be cancelled, postponed or moved to a virtual setting as decided by the conference organizing committee at that time. We are committed to working with conference sponsors and exhibitors for partial or full refunds should the plan for holding an in-person event change.
    • If you are sick during the conference week, please do not attend.
  • Please ensure that the address you enter during payment matches the one used on the applicable credit card.
  • CWRA and TCU Place will be taking photos at the conference that may be used to share summaries or news about this event on social media, in newsletters, on our website, or in printed material or articles and reports describing the event. Attendance at the event is considered acknowledgement of this potential for being photographed and consent to the stated uses. If you do not wish to be photographed, there will be a contact listed at the event for you to get in touch with.
  • If you are a CWRA member, your organization will appear as it is on your membership profile.  You will not be able to change it on the registration form. Please update your profile if you have changed organizations, or email us at CWRA2024@cwra.org if you need a different organization printed on your name tag, and we will try to accommodate your request.
  • There will be an option in the form to include your contact information (Name, Organization, and email) in the Delegate List.  The list is intended to facilitate networking among conference attendees, but we will not include your information in it if you do not opt-in. The Delegate List will only be available in printed form in the conference packets. It will not be made available electronically.

Cancellation/Refund/Transfer Policy

  • Early Bird Registration ends May 10, 2024
  • No refund will be possible for the membership fee portion of a Non-Member registration, unless that membership has not been activated yet.
  • Cancellations received by June 3, 2024 will be provided a refund, less any CWRA membership fees and less a 10% processing  fee.
  • There are no refunds for cancellations received after June 3, 2024
  • You may transfer your registration to another person by contacting us at cwra2024@cwra.org. Included Memberships cannot be transferred after they are created.
  • Please send registration cancellation request details to cwra2024@cwra.org.
  • We will not provide refunds for cancellations due to inclement weather.
  • All refunds will be processed following the conference, please allow 30 days for processing

Registration: 

Q: When does Early Bird Registration End?

A: The early bird rate is available until May 10th, 2024. You can see the full list of Registration fees on the Registration page.

Q: When does registration close?

A: Full conference registration will close on June 16th, 2024, or when the conference sells out, whichever comes first.  After this date single-day rates will be available at the registration table.  It is preferred to have single day registrations completed in advance via the website, but single day registrations will be accepted day of attendance as walk-ins, depending on availability.  Payment must still be made online.

Q: Can I cancel my registration?

A: Cancellations received by June 3, 2024, can receive a refund. See the Cancellation Policy.

Q: Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

A: Prior to June 3, 2023, registrations may be transferred to another individual, at the discretion of CWRA so long as the registration has already been paid in full. To request a transfer, please contact CWRA2024@cwra.org.

Q:  Do I have to register for the conference and workshops / tours all at once?

A:  No, you can register for the conference and then register for a workshop and/ or tour separately.  

Q: I’m not sure if I’ll attend the Banquet. What if I change my mind?

  • Banquet tickets are included in full registrations, and we ask for an indication of your intention when you register so we can plan the evening and be ready to accommodate everyone. It’s not a commitment.
  • Please note that additional Banquet Tickets are not refundable.

Accommodations: 

Q: What accommodation arrangements are there for the conference in Saskatoon?

A: Blocks of rooms have been secured at two hotels which are conveniently located near the TCU Place.  Check out the Accommodations Page for more information. 

Be sure to book early to ensure availability! We expect the hotel block to sell out!

PLEASE NOTE:  Accommodations are separate from your conference registration and must be booked separately. Conference organizers are not available to assist in booking hotel rooms, or updating reservations.

  • Hotel room cancellations are in accordance with the policies of the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express.

New CWRA Memberships

  • Full Conference Non-Member Registration Items include the cost of an annual membership in CWRA.
  • Memberships are not included in the single day rates.
  • Student Membership in CWRA is free. To attend this conference, students must register for membership (click here) if they are not already members. Please note that students may also join CANCID, CSHS, and/or  NASH for free.
  • Memberships included with conference registrations will be set up by CWRA staff and will begin before the conference.
  • You will be emailed with details about your membership, and setting up your member profile, at the contact email you include.
  • You will be offered the option of adding CSHS, NASH,  and/or CANCID membership(s) to your Non-Member registration for the conference as well.

Students and Young Professionals 

Q: Who is considered a Student and Young Professional?

Young Professionals are defined as those who have been enrolled in college or university undergraduate or graduate programs within the last 3 years. please note that Non-Member Young Professional registrations will be enrolled as Young Professional members of CWRA.

There are many options on our registration form. When you are ready to register, please read the following registration, refund, and cancellation policies, and review the item descriptions below carefully to ensure you are purchasing the item you’ve intended to purchase. You may purchase additional items at a later date, as more workshops and tour events are added.

By purchasing an event item for the CWRA 2023 Halifax National Conference, you are agreeing to the following Policies:

  • If the organizers cancel this event, a full refund of conference fees will be provided. No refund of any included membership fees will be issued.
  • You may transfer your registration to another person by contacting us at cwra2023@cwra.org. Included Memberships cannot be transferred after they are created.

A: Organizers are pleased to have arranged a limited number of rooms available for conference attendees at the Westin Nova Scotia at a special discounted rate. Please visit the Venue page for details. Be sure to book early to ensure availability! We expect the hotel block to sell out!

  • Young Professionals are defined as those who have been enrolled in college or university undergraduate or graduate programs within the last 3 years. please note that Non-Member Young Professional registrations will be enrolled as Young Professional members of CWRA.

Q: I’m not sure if I’ll attend the SYP event on Monday night. Is that OK?

  • Yes! We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there, but are only asking about participation so that we can be ready to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend.
