Volunteer at the CWRA 2026 National Conference!
The Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) Manitoba Branch is hosting the CWRA National Conference 2026, taking place June 15–19, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the theme centered around Honouring the Spirit of Water.
We are looking for students and early-career professionals who are interested in water, environment, engineering, climate science, and related fields to join our conference volunteer team. This is a great opportunity to experience a national professional conference, learn from experts, and expand your professional network.
Why Volunteer?
By volunteering at the conference, you will have the opportunity to:
- Attend technical presentations and discussions
- Meet professionals, researchers, and industry leaders
- Build valuable connections for future career and collaboration opportunities
- Gain experience supporting a national water conference
Commitment
Volunteers will receive complimentary conference registration and meals for the day(s) they are volunteering. A shift is five hours in length, and volunteers may commit up to three shifts. Volunteers are expected to register for the day(s) they are volunteering and will be reimbursed the registration fees after confirmation of their completed volunteer hours during the conference.
Volunteer Roles
Volunteers will help with:
- Providing direction and assistance to conference participants
- Supporting technical tours and workshops
- Assisting in presentation rooms (microphones, presenter setup, etc.)
- General conference logistics
Volunteer shifts will be organized primarily outside of networking and social events, and we will do our best to ensure volunteers can attend the sessions in which they are interested during the conference.
