Explore Winnipeg & Manitoba
Welcome to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty 1 territory, the original lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Ojibway-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
Winnipeg is the quirky, friendly city that’s at the centre of it all – literally! Well, at least in North America. Our city is rooted in 6,000 years of Indigenous history and is a vibrant hub for Indigenous culture. Please consider learning more about this history by visiting the Manitoba Museum during your stay. Don’t miss the World Renown Canadian Museum of Human Rights which offers offers 10 galleries on seven floors, diverse special exhibitions, and stunning architecture a mere ten minute walk away. The Museum offers 10 galleries on seven floors, diverse special exhibitions, and stunning architecture. Pop by The Forks – located steps from the Museum at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers – to experience an exceptional array of dining options and fantastic local makers and retailers.
We are officially home to some of the best restaurants in Canada, with some great options within walking distance of the Fairmont Winnipeg (ask us for a recommendation!). Summer brings our renowned festival season – including the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival which is tentatively scheduled for June 16 – 21, 2026 and is within a short distance of the conference venue. To learn more about what’s happening in Winnipeg, check out Tourism Winnipeg’s Visitor Guide.

Penticton, located in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, offers breathtaking scenery with a small town charm, but getting here does require some planning. While the city is well-connected by air, road, and regional transit, travel options are more limited compared to major urban centers.

Once you arrive, getting around is relatively easy, especially if you’re staying near the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre (PTCC). The city is compact and walkable, with hotels, restaurants, and attractions within a short distance of downtown. However, public transit is limited, and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are currently unavailable, so taxis or rental cars may be necessary for traveling beyond the city core.
