Over the past few years, the Student and Young Professional (SYP)Chapter has arranged for student lodging arrangements at a nearby university dorm, or in the case of the Banff conference, hostels.  Unfortunately, Gimli has no such facilities that are available for our use at this year's conference.

The Viking Inn, offers rooms that are less expensive than those offered by the Lakeview.  The Autumnwood Motel also has rooms available for a rate less than the Lakeview, but more than the Viking Inn.  Both the hotels are within walking distance of the conference location.

If you are traveling with an advisor or fellow student(s) it is also possible (and encouraged) for you to share a hotel room not only to keep costs down, but for the sake of the environment.  If you are traveling on your own, then you can use this forum to make a post in order to find a roommate.  Once you have found a roommate, you are responsible for making your own hotel bookings as usual.
